IS OZIL THE WORST VALUE FOR MONEY IN EPL HISTORY?
Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, who didn’t even make the Gunners’ 20-man squad for their game against Man City on Wednesday, is currently on £350k per week and arguably the worst value-for-money player in EPL history. The Daily Mail has done some calculations and figured that Ozil this season has cost his team £15mln per goal, £787k per tackle and £8k per minute!
MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: And we thought Alexis Sanchez was a waste of money! To make matters worse, Ozil has been one of the few players in the EPL to REFUSE a wage cut during the Covid-19 crisis. In 23 games this season, he has made less than one tackle per game, contributed only 1 goal and 3 assists. OUCH.

MAN CITY V ARSENAL GAME BREAKS TV RECORDS
Wednesday night’s Man City v Arsenal game was the most watched EPL game in 3 years according to Sky Sports with 2.6mln viewers tuning into the game. Interestingly, 75% of viewers opted to use the fake crowd option as opposed to the commentary only option on their viewer preferences.
MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: No surprise to see those record numbers particularly with all the pent-up demand for EPL action as well as a dose of curiosity regarding what closed-doors games would look like. Spurs v Man United tonight may give that record a run though.

BEEFED UP BRYSON ON TRACK TO BREAK 17 YEAR OLD PGA TOUR RECORD
The “mad scientist” Bryson DeChambeau is currently on track to break the PGA Tour’s average driving distance record. Hank Kuehne currently holds the record (set in 2003) with an average driving distance over the season of 321.4 yards. DeChambeau who has added about 9kg of weight during the lockdown and approximately 20kg since 2015 currently has an average driving distance of 323.8 yards.
MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Club and ball technology have come along way since 2003 so that is a factor to consider. That said, DeChambeau is clearly dominating off the tee right now with 3 of his drivers measured at over 360 yards last week. Another thing to note is that DeChambeau certainly hasn’t loss the keys to the refrigerator!
