UFC Fight Night in Moscow….
RULE OF THUMB: Bet every fighter whose last name ends with a “V”. Russia is well known for corruption, and these judges will be Russian.
Alexander Volkov vs Greg Hardy – Generally, a total mismatch, but it only takes one punch in the Heavyweight division. A few things to consider:
1) Volkov destroyed Derrick Lewis for three rounds, but got caught with one punch in the last 10 seconds and hasn’t fought since (this time off favours Volkov huge, especially as Hardy just fought Ben Sosoli Oct 18th – dumb).
2) Hardy is an ex All Pro Defensive Tackle in the NFL: an ELITE level athlete with explosiveness and power. He will be frightening for exactly 1 minute.
3) After the first minute, Volkov will begin to strike Hardy in every body part and eventually knock him out, clinically and very easily. How it happens: Volkov has such an advantage that he will strategize to stay out of the pocket (imperative) and pick apart Hardy from the outside until he tires him out, leading to an easy KO in the second. Hardy will be really lucky to get out of the first round, but I think he will. Volkov coaches at the end of round 1 will LOUDLY direct him to go in for the kill immediately in round 2. So, second round KO as it’s just smart to respect the power of Hardy and take advantage of the massive conditioning edge.
Bet: Alexander Volkov by KO.
Magomed Ankalaev vs. Dalcha Lungiambula. Dalcha by KO.
The Bet: Dalcha and Volkov by KO pays 10:1.
Imadeav vs Danny Roberts. Ends with a V, by KO.
Antigulov, 32 vs Ed Herman, 39. Ends with a V, in a really sketchy decision.
Gamzatov vs Abreu. Ends with a V.
Emeev vs Rocco Martin. I like Rocco here. USA! USA!
